Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park is in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. It's known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.
We arrange sunset boat cruises as well as morning or afternoon game drives in the park for our customers on request.
The Victoria Falls, affectionately called "Mosi-oa-Tunya" by the locals, which means the smoke that thunders and is a waterfall in Southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90m and 107m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550,000 cubic metres of water plummet over the edge every minute.
Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Statistically speaking, it is the largest waterfall in the world. This recognition comes from combining the height and width together to create the largest single sheet of flowing water.
There are many activities besides just viewing the spectacular site of the Falls. These include white water rafting, bungee jumping and zip lining just to name a few. Nxabii Cottages has partnered with local tour operators, enabling easy booking for our customers to experience this world wonder and what it offers.

Kasane International Airport, which was opened on 21 October 1991, is located 4 km south of Kasane town in the Chobe District about 1000km north of Gaborone. The Airport is open to both domestic and international traffic. One of its attractive features is that it is strategically situated on the “Four Corners “, that is, it borders Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It provides access to Chobe National Park and serves as the second alternate airport for tourists travelling to the world renowned Victoria Falls (both on the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides) and to Katima Mulilo town in Namibia.
